Your Privacy in Practice

Read the guide without creating an account. Prepare a question without uploading a draft.

Who is responsible

Bambootowerjinx Lighting Limited is responsible for personal data it handles in connection with this publication. Write to [email protected] or to 11 Merchants Road, Galway, H91 C8Y4, Ireland. Company registration number: 829451.

Reading the website

Your browser requests the HTML pages, images, stylesheet and script needed to display the site. Hosting infrastructure may process technical request data such as IP address, request time, requested resource, browser information and error details to deliver and secure the service. Such processing is based on our legitimate interests in reliable, secure publication. This site's own code does not include analytics, advertising pixels, third-party embeds or behavioural profiling.

The local question tool

The contact tool processes the information you enter within your browser. It does not submit the form to a server, create an account or store your draft in localStorage. Browser features may independently retain form entries according to your settings. Reviewing a draft displays it on the page; copying places it on your clipboard with permission; downloading saves a text file on your device. Clear or delete those copies yourself when no longer needed.

If you decide to email us, your email provider and ours process the message in the usual way. We receive your address, the message and any details you choose to include. Do not send confidential project documents, special-category personal data or unnecessary information about other people.

Email correspondence

We use correspondence to answer questions, consider corrections and manage publication-related requests. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding and maintaining accurate editorial material, or compliance with legal obligations where applicable. We retain ordinary enquiries only as long as reasonably needed to resolve them and maintain a relevant record. Records needed for legal claims or statutory obligations may be kept longer. We do not sell correspondence or add senders to a marketing list.

Browser preferences

The cookie choices page can save a preference and timestamp in localStorage on this device. That preference is not a user account or an advertising identifier, and our script does not transmit it. See How Cookie Choices Work for controls and deletion instructions.

Service providers and disclosures

Hosting and email providers may process data on our behalf to supply those services. Information may also be disclosed where legally required or necessary to protect legal rights. If a provider processes personal data outside the European Economic Area, applicable transfer safeguards are required, such as an adequacy decision or appropriate contractual safeguards. Contact us for information relevant to your correspondence.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your personal data, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. We may need proportionate information to verify a request. Contact the email address above; there is normally no charge for exercising your rights.

You can also raise a concern with Ireland’s Data Protection Commission or another competent supervisory authority. Please do not include more identifying information than is necessary in an initial enquiry.

External links and changes

External websites have their own privacy practices. This notice describes this publication, not those services. Material changes to our own processing will be reflected on this page. The information above should be read alongside our Terms for This Publication.
